Borough Market is London’s most renowned food market. It is a foodie paradise with more than 70 stalls bringing a range of fresh products including fish, meat, fruit, vegetables, wine, cider, cheese, coffee, pies, bread, cakes and TEA. It is also a place where you can find speciality and international food (including portuguese custard cakes!).
Here are the selected Tea traders that you’ll find in Borough market:
Ceylon 1: Ceylon 1 sells specialist Teas coming from the UVA district in Sri Lanka. This region produces some of the finest Teas in Sri Lanka, such as pure Ceylon Earl Grey and Orange Pekoe tea.
Tea2You: Brings loose leaf Darjeeling Tea from India. Their Darjeeling 1st flush from 2012 is already available. A fresh Tea with a delightfully flowery scent.
East Teas: A London-based importer of specialist, fine-quality, loose-leaf teas and Tea utensils from Japan, Taiwan, Korea and China, sourced directly from farmers and small local suppliers. You will find a wide range of Teas and you can ask to try some.
The market is usually open Thursdays (11am – 5pm), Fridays (12pm – 6pm) and Saturdays (8am – 5pm) but during this summer in celebration of the Paralympics, the market will be open every day. From Wednesday 29th August until Sunday 9th September, Borough market will be open seven days a week – Sunday to Friday from 10am to 5pm and Saturday from 8am to 5pm.
Happy Tea Break.
